Overquality ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Playon - Find. Play. Connect. mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App and related services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Name, email address, and password when you create an account
  • Profile information such as preferred sports, general information, and location
  • Details when you create events (e.g., title, description, location, date/time)

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we may automatically collect:

  • Device information (model, operating system, language, time zone)
  • Usage data (how you interact with features, pages visited)
  • Location data (if you grant permission, used to show nearby events)
  • Log data and analytics via tools such as Expo and Supabase

1.3 Information from Third Parties

If you sign in or connect through third-party services (e.g., Google Sign-In), we may receive basic account information such as name, surname, email address, and profile photo from that service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account
  • Allow you to join, create, and manage sports events
  • Improve, personalize, and maintain the App
  • Communicate with you (e.g., notifications, updates, support)
  • Enforce our Terms of Use and comply with legal obligations

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data only with:

  • Service providers who support app operation (e.g., Supabase for backend services, Expo for notifications)
  • Legal authorities, if required by law
  • Other users, only for information you choose to make public (e.g., your profile information and events you create or join)

4. Data Retention and Deletion

4.1 Active Account Data

We keep your data for as long as your account is active.

4.2 Account Deletion Process

You can delete your account anytime from within the App or by contacting us at support@playon.gr. When you delete your account, we process your data as follows:

Immediately and Permanently Deleted:

  • Your authentication credentials (login information)
  • Push notification tokens
  • Saved location preferences
  • Sports preferences
  • Personal notifications you received
  • Activity invitations you received

Anonymized (Personal Information Removed):

Your profile record is kept but all personally identifiable information is removed:

  • Name, email, phone number, date of birth, gender, bio, profile picture and event images are permanently deleted
  • Your username becomes "deleted*user*[random_code]"
  • Your account is marked as inactive and deleted
  • You will not appear in search results or user listings

Kept for System Integrity:

To maintain functionality for other users and app safety, we retain (in anonymized form):

  • Your past participation in activities (shows as deleted user)
  • Activities you created (transferred to anonymized profile)
  • Safety/moderation reports (for community protection)
  • Historical activity applications (for other users' records)

This ensures other users can still see activity history while your personal information is completely removed. Deleted user profiles cannot be recovered or reactivated.

4.3 Managing Personal Data

You can manage your personal data at any time through the app:

  • Profile picture: Go to your profile and select "Edit Profile" from the settings.

You can remove or replace your current photo.

  • Personal information: Go to your profile and select "Edit Profile" from the settings.

You can change your name, gender, and date of birth.

5. Data Security

  • We use encryption and secure connections (HTTPS) to protect your data.
  • However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing

7. Children's Privacy

  • Our App is intended for users aged 13 and older.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
  • If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
  • Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
  • We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
