Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Playon ("App"), operated by Overquality ("we," "our," or "us"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the App and related services. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Use of the App

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.
  • You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.

2. Accounts and User Data

  • To access certain features, you must create an account using your email or a supported sign-in method.
  • You agree to provide accurate, up-to-date information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
  • If you suspect unauthorized use, you must notify us immediately at support@playon.gr.

3. Events and User Information

  • The App allows you to create and join sports events.
  • You retain ownership of event information you create (e.g., event details, descriptions) but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute it solely for the purposes of operating, displaying, and distributing it within the App.
  • You agree not to provide information that is illegal, offensive, or violates the rights of others.
  • We reserve the right to remove events or information that violates these Terms.

4. Intellectual Property

  • The App, its design, and all associated content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by Overquality or its licensors.
  • You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without prior written consent.

5. Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal or fraudulent purpose.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or harmful code.
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data.
  • Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.

6. Safety and In-Person Meetings

  • Playon operates as a platform that enables users to connect and organize sports activities and does not organize, supervise, or control any in-person meetings or activities conducted outside the App.
  • Any in-person interaction or activity takes place at the sole responsibility of the participating users.
  • Users are responsible for taking appropriate precautions and acting with good judgment when participating in activities or meetings arranged through the App.
  • Overquality is not responsible for the conduct of users or for any accidents, injuries, damages, or disputes that may occur during or as a result of in-person meetings.

7. Termination

7.1 Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms or any applicable laws.
  • Misuse the App or interfere with other users.
  • Engage in fraudulent or abusive activities.

7.2 Termination by You (Account Deletion)

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by contacting us at support@playon.gr.

Upon account deletion:

  • Your personal information (name, email, phone, profile picture, etc.) will be permanently deleted
  • Your authentication credentials will be removed
  • Your account will be anonymized and marked as deleted
  • You will no longer appear in search results or user listings
  • Historical activity participation will remain visible as "deleted user" to maintain context for other users
  • Deleted accounts cannot be recovered or reactivated

7.3 Effects of Termination

Upon termination (by us or by you), you lose access to your account and all associated features within the App.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
  • We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free or always available.
  • Your use of the App is at your own risk.

9. Disclaimer

  • The App is provided "as is" and "as available."
  • We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding its operation, reliability, or suitability for a particular purpose.

10. Advertising

  • The App displays advertisements served by third-party advertising partners, including Google AdMob.
  • Advertisements may be personalized based on your preferences and usage, subject to your consent where required by applicable law.
  • By using the App, you acknowledge that advertisements are part of the service and agree to the presence of ads during your use of the App.

11. Changes to These Terms

  • We may modify or update these Terms at any time.
  • Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
  • Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict of law principles.
